What an epic day it was, unboxing my brand new Yamaha Absolute Hybrid Maple drum set with the help of my musical parents Jack Mouse and Janice Borla.

The classic walnut finish is an absolute stunner and the wood grain is a feast for the eyes. I couldn’t be more pleased. The new crosstown hardware is an absolute game changer as well; it’s the most lightweight hardware I’ve ever lifted. Gone are the back-breaking days of lugging heavy hardware bags!

To celebrate, we toasted some fine single malt Speyside whisky and sparked up some fine Palmero cigars from the Canary Islands. A perfect day for the record books.
